Set beside a park in Sydney’s leafy North Shore, this Modern European Farmhouse is a strong example of what can be achieved through Rosewood Homes’ custom design and build process.
Overview
The client’s brief was architectural, timeless and unique, while still sitting comfortably within the local streetscape.
The exterior pairs recycled brick with modern cladding, striking a balance between contemporary and classic. The form is clean and symmetrical, with simplified twin gable rooflines.
With park frontage, the side elevation was just as important as the front façade, so window detailing and articulation were carefully considered to ensure appeal from every angle.
Internally, the home needed to function for a family of five. The challenge was accommodating five bedrooms, a study, four living areas, a grand foyer, a generous double garage, an oversized kitchen and butler’s pantry, along with other non-negotiables, all within set CDC size constraints. This home truly delivers.
The interior continues the contemporary European feel. Finishes vary between spaces to create interest, while consistent elements tie everything together.
The result is a character-filled home, inside and out, with quality considered from concept to completion, luxurious, elegant, and designed to support the homeowners for decades to come.
